Track progress easily with projected completion dates

The Status Panel now highlights clearly if candidates haven’t started their background checks, and if there are any additional documents required from candidates before Zinc can process the checks.

To increase visibility even more, Zinc now displays **projected completion time** at a request level in the Report to help you monitor your candidates’ check progress.

When will the projected completion dates be available?

Zinc will display the projected completion date for the request as a whole as soon as all checks in a request have been submitted. This means that if the request contains a Reference check, Criminal check, and a Right to Work check, the projected date will only be available once all three checks have been submitted.

The projected completion date for each check, on the other hand, will be available as soon as a check has been completed by the candidate.

What happens if additional documents are required?

Once the candidate has submitted their checks, it’s possible that they may be required to submit additional documents if the initial information provided is deemed insufficient.

In this instance, the candidate will be contacted to provide the required documents (see more here kb article). An awaiting info status will appear on the Recruit page to indicate that additional information is required from the candidate.

If there is a delay as a result of the candidate submission waiting times, you will be alerted. The status will change from awaiting info to processing delay. Otherwise, the checks will resume their processing as normal

What happens if there's a delay?

Delays may occur due to a high volume of requests or errors in processing. In such cases, you will be alerted, and the projected date will be removed.

What is the projected completion date based on?

The projected completion date will be presented as a range of dates. This is based on data of 90% of our checks. This means that there is a possibility that your checks will be completed later than the estimated date, if they fall outside the 65% range.

How is the calculation broken down?

By country: Education, Criminal, Global directorship, Global Credit

By DBS level: Basic, Standard, Enhanced, Enhanced-adult first

By type: References
