What documents can be accepted for right to work in New Zealand?
To perform a right to work check in New Zealand, the following documents can be accepted:
Natural Kiwi citizens
New Zealand passport
Expired passport (within 5 years)
Australian passport
NZ citizenship certificate (copy acceptable)
NZ permanent residence visa (copy acceptable)
NZ birth cert (copy acceptable) (Cook Island, Niue or Tokelau acceptable if post-2006)
Foreign citizens
NZ Visa (copy acceptable)
