What documents can be accepted for right to work in Japan?
To perform a right to work check in Japan, the following documents can be accepted:
Natural Japanese citizens
Japanese passport
Birth certificate showing nationality as Japanese
Birth certificate showing name and DOB and showing parent's nationality as Japanese
Certified or uncertified copy of birth certificate
Foreign citizens
Work visa
Working holiday visa
Residence card
