What documents can be accepted for right to work in Australia?
To perform a right to work check in Australia, the following documents can be accepted:
Natural Australian citizens
Australian passport
New Zealander passport
Expired passport (not more than 2 years old)
Australian Citizen Certificate
Citizenship by Descent Extract
Register of Australian Births Abroad Extract
Australian citizen certificate of Adoption in accordance with the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption or bilateral arrangement
Foreign citizens
Immicard
Passport (with a valid visa that authorises work and must be checked by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection).
