How do I use the instant verification in the UK if I don’t yet have a government gateway ID?

You can log in using Government Gateway ID to instantly provide your HMRC-verified employment history. However if you don’t have an account yet, it’s easy to sign up.

You’ll need the following documents: 

  • UK passport or Biometric Residence Permit / International passport

and two of the following:

  • Driving license
  • Payslip or P60
  • Self Assessment
  • Tax credits
  • Credit record
  • National Insurance number

Once you have the following documents, please then using the link below to create an account: https://www.gov.uk/log-in-register-hmrc-online-services/register

Once you have created your account, you can then proceed to sign into your account via Zinc and will then be able to use the instant employment verification feature.
