How can I prove right to work as an Irish citizen?
Do you hold an Irish passport?
If yes, you can present this document only as proof of your right to work. It doesn't matter if the passport is expired, it can still be used as proof.
Do you have a birth certificate?
- You can share a copy of your UK birth certificate.
- And proof of NI number must be a official letter or document from a government agency (for example HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, or the Social Security Agency in Northern Ireland) or previous employer, showing their name and National Insurance number.
Are you a frontier worker?
You can share a copy of your frontier worker permit via the government share code scheme or by sharing the physical permit.
Do you not have any of the documents listed?
You do not have enough evidence to prove right to work in the UK.
