How can I prove right to work as a British citizen?
Do you hold a British passport?
If yes, you can present this document only as proof of your right to work. It doesn't matter if the passport is expired, it can still be used as proof.
Do you have a UK birth certificate?
- You can share a copy of your birth certificate and proof of your national insurance number.
- And proof of NI number must be a official letter or document from a government agency (for example HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, or the Social Security Agency in Northern Ireland) or previous employer, showing their name and National Insurance number.
