If yes, you can use the government share code scheme to prove your right to work online.
Do you have a current biometric residence permit (BRP) or current passport, endorsed to show they’re allowed to stay indefinitely in the UK?
You can share a copy of your BRP permit as proof of right to work n the UK. The permit must be in date.
Do you have a current immigration status document, endorsed to show they’re allowed to stay indefinitely in the UK?
- Share a current immigration status document issued by the Home Office, stating that the the worker has indefinite leave to remain or has no time limit to their stay in the UK.
- And an official letter or document from a government agency (for example HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, or the Social Security Agency in Northern Ireland) or previous employer, showing your name and National Insurance number.
Do you have a current passport with a current endorsement from the Home Office?
Share a copy of the passport photo page and a copy of the endorsements in the passport. The endorsements must be in date.
Do you have a have an application registration card?
You must present your registration card and your employer will use the Home Office’s Employer Checking Service (ECS) to check the person’s right to work. Your employer will then make another check on your status in 6 months time.
Do you not have any of the above?
You do not have enough evidence to prove your right to work in the UK.
