Inform your Enhanced DBS jobs to speed them up
What are they?
Job details allow you to ensure positions are eligible for enhanced DBS checks and help speed up the process. You can add as many roles as needed to a package. Candidates can easily choose the appropriate job role when submitting their background checks, making the process smoother for everyone.
Adding job details to an existing package
Find the enhanced DBS package you want to add the job role to and click “Customise checks” from the menu. Scroll down to the “Enhanced DBS job details” section under the “Criminal Check” section and select “Add job detail”.
Choose a job title from our database or add one that suits the role. Answer the questions that describe why this role is eligible for an enhanced DBS check; the people they will be working with, the frequency, the activity they will be carrying out, and where they will be doing it. The answers to these questions will set the workforce type and barred list automatically.
Package templates and job details
The quickest way to get started with an enhanced DBS package is to find one in our template gallery. Select the template you want to use and select “Use template”. You will be asked to add at least one “job detail” to use the template.

What candidates will see
During the “Employment Information” step of our Enhanced DBS form, candidates will be able to choose from the job details you have added to your package. If the job title is not listed, they are able to add their own job title and fill out the information about who they are working with, if they are vulnerable, if will they be working from their private home, and if they are a volunteer.
