How to Submit Your Criminal Check in Hungary
Step 1: Log In or Create Your Zinc Account
Once your employer requests a criminal check, you’ll need to log in to your Zinc account. If you don’t already have an account, you must create one. Once logged in, confirm the following details:
- Your full name (including name history if applicable)
- Your date of birth
- Your country of residence: Hungary
- Address history for the past 5 years
- Your consent
Step 2: Provide Your Personal Information
You will need to supply the following details to initiate the check:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Birth Date
- Specific Consent Form
- The form can be filled out digitally; however, your signature should be wet (signed with a pen). Also, the letter must be signed by two witnesses and the witnesses' part can be filled by hand or digitally but the signature must be mandatorily wet (signature with a pen). The document should be clear scanned copy and not captured images.
- Passport/ID Copy
- For Citizens:
- Hungarian ID copy both sides (Szemelyi Azonosito: Recommended!)
- Hungarian Passport (an expired copy is acceptable)
- For Non-Citizens:
- Passport copy or EU ID card both sides (an expired copy is acceptable)
- Valid Hungarian Residence Permit
- For Citizens:
- Consent
Step 3: Submit the Check on Zinc
Once all your information is provided, the check will be processed by our checking partner.
If something else is required or there is a discrepancy, our Customer Support team here at Zinc will contact you directly to get your application corrected or gather further information from you.
Step 4: Receive the Results of your Check
Upon completion of your criminal check, you will receive a notification to say the process is completed and the results will be available on your profile to view.
