At the top of an individual candidate's report, you will find a section that you can use to write comments directly on the report. These cannot be deleted once they are added into the report so they can be a great place to mark any internal actions done in regards to the candidate's background check to maintain an audit trail on Zinc.
You don't have to use this comment section but we would recommend you use it for a variety of different purposes.
For example:
- A consider result has been provided for a qualification check and you would like to note that this has been reviewed and approved
- Some additional employment experience has been verified off of Zinc and you want to link these findings onto Zinc
- When the imposter check for a right to work check has been conducted, you can record when and how the check was completed, and by whom.
- Noting that the report has been downloaded
- Acknowledging to other members on your team that the entire report has been reviewed by yourself and approved for next steps
Please do not use the comments as a place to request actions or updates to the Zinc support team as these are not monitored by our team. We would always recommend sending us an email or jumping on live chat to speak to our wonderful support team if you need any assistance with a candidate's checks.
You may sometimes see comments from the Zinc team on your candidate's report to let you know that a criminal check was withdrawn or additional information was provided by a referee just to provide you with an audit trail on actions taken. It is simply done for your documentation so no need to reply to these comments.
