What Does the ‘Awaiting Candidate’ Request Status Mean?

The blue 'Awaiting candidate' request status means that the candidate has engaged with Zinc and started submitting the information required for their checks, but they have not yet submitted everything required for their checks.

Once a candidate first starts entering information for their background checks, the request status will switch from 'Requested' to the 'Awaiting candidate' status. They may be in the process of submitting the required information, or the candidate may have stepped away to find some additional information.

This status may also return if once the checks have begun, it turns out we need an additional piece of information for a particular source. For example, once the UK Birth Certificate and proof of National Insurance has been reviewed and confirmed on Zinc for use for the DBS check like below. Once the candidate has submitted all of the information required, it will move to a new status, and you will no longer see the 'Awaiting candidate' status.

The above blue bar will show at the top of the individual candidate's report page, and the below 'Awaiting candidate' rectangle will show on the request page.
