How to Integrate Zinc with Pinpoint
Step 1: Generate Your API Key
Sign in to Zinc or create an account if you haven’t already. Navigate to Account > Company, then click "Generate API Key" and copy this.
Step 2: Paste the Zinc API Key into Pinpoint
- In Pinpoint, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Select App and search for Zinc.
- Click on Zinc and paste your Zinc API key into Pinpoint.
Step 3: Run Background Checks from Pinpoint
- Choose a live job and select a candidate.
- Click on the three dots next to the candidate’s name.
- Select "Zinc Background Check".
- Choose the check package you require and click "Send Invite" to request the check.
What Happens Next

Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We will send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
Track the progress
You can view the status of each candidate’s checks in your ATS. We’ll notify you by email as soon as an individual check is completed..
