How to Integrate Zinc with Greenhouse

Step 1: Generate Your API Key
Sign in to Zinc or create an account if you haven’t already. Navigate to Account > Company, then click "Generate API Key". Next, reach out to Greenhouse Support and ask them to add the API key to your account.
Step 2: Customize Your Checks
Work with your Zinc Account Manager to decide which background checks you'd like to run and tailor any reference questions. You can create multiple check packages, which will be accessible from Greenhouse.
Step 3: Add Zinc to Your Interview Plan
Decide where in your hiring process you’d like to conduct background checks. In Greenhouse, select Add a stage and choose Automated Reference with Zinc.
Step 4: Send the Request
On the candidate's profile, click "Automated Reference with Zinc", then select "Send Test". Before sending, let your candidate know that Zinc will be conducting the background check and to watch for a message from us.
What happens next
Let Zinc work
Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We will send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
Track the progress
You can view the status of each candidate’s checks in your ATS. We’ll notify you by email as soon as an individual check is completed..
